All of us at Holbrook & Associates were so sorry to hear of Tim’s passing. We fondly remember and will always miss his ready wit and clever wordplay, and how he made our world a brighter place when he was part of our team. Our deepest condolences to all his family and loved ones. A donation will be made to AIDS Lifecycle in his memory.

Even thought Tim and I hadn't seen each other in person in many years or talked that often or kept in touch as much as I should have, I thought about him often. I keep thinking about all the fun times we had in high school. Tim trying to teach me to drive stick, and even though he was unfailingly patient, he would just give me "that look" when I stalled it and we gently rolled back down the hill. I remember reading aloud from the book Lace in the car. I was in the front seat and Amanda and Carrie were in the back. Some guy rear ended us on I95 and I tossed the book in the backseat in fear that the cops would arrest us for reading "that type of book." Now, I write those types of books. Tim and I were going to collaborate on a historical romance. Our pen name was going to be Calliope Melpomene. I wonder what happened to that notebook, hopefully somewhere lost in time. From what I remember, we were leaning hard on the Remington Steele tropes. I remember we were driving home at night in Higganum. I can't for the life of me remember why we were in Higganum. And we passed an old couple driving a beat up pickup and towing an empty boat trailer. Without missing a beat, Tim said to me "Jawg, where's the boat?" in a New England accent. It's how we would great each other for the rest of his life. There's so many little things that keep sparking up like fireworks, so many things that shaped who I am today. I loved Tim very much and he will always be in my thoughts and heart.
