Obituary of Michael Barry Shomion

Age 73, of Saint Paul, Minnesota Loving Father, Brother, Son and Friend who lived his whole life in the Saint Paul area surrounded by friends and family. Michael "Mike" attended Cretin High School, served in the US Army from 1963-1969 and worked air freight at Northwest Airlines for 35 years until his retirement in 2002. He loved athletics and was an impressive competitor, supportive teammate, and knowledgeable coach. Family meant everything to him; he especially loved visits from his six grandchildren: Lindsay, Lauren, James, Henry, Billy and Thomas. Michael is preceded in death by his mother Benzetta, father Richard, and sister Anne Marie. Michael is survived by his children; Michael Barry Jr. (Tya), David John (Michelle Belitz) and Meaghan Jane (Charles Vander Aarde). A private memorial will take place at Fort Snelling, TBD. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Fairview Homecare and Hospice.
