Obituary of Deanna Joy Bosch
Deanna "Dee" Bosch, age 79, of Fridley, MN, passed away peacefully from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on August 22, 2023, at the age of 79, with her daughter, Kelly, by her side. She battled cancer resiliently and with grace for 4 ½ years. Dee was born on January 8, 1944, in Chicago, IL, to the late Edmund C. Walsh and Margaret M. Walsh. Dee was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Dee was a fun-loving and free-spirited individual who approached life with a sense of adventure. She was known for her affable nature, big heart, and her love for making people laugh. Dee had a vibrant personality that drew others to her, and she cherished the time spent with her loved ones. She had a special talent for bringing people together and enjoyed getting together with friends and family.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Steve) Stauner; granddaughter, Autumn Anderson; daughter, Kelly (Fred) Trumble; son Al (Barb) Bosch; grandchildren, Mikaila, Graceson, and Josiah Bosch; sister, Gayle (Don) Morse; brother, Denny (Sandy) Walsh; brother Roger Walsh, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Dee graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1962. She married Garry Ernest Bosch and they had three children. Dee became a single mother at the age of 26, raising her three children while working as a payroll manager at Nordic Ware and as an office administrator at Universal Color and in other successful businesses. She lived in St. Louis Park, MN then moved to Crystal for a year, enrolling her two daughters in St. Raphael Catholic School. Dee moved the family once more to the other side of St. Louis Park, then went to bartender school. She worked full-time days, plus bartended part-time at night to supplement her income, eventually working her way up to bar manager at the St. Louis Park VFW. She once took in a friend in need and provided shelter for her and her son for several months. Willing to help a friend in any way she could, she was generous with her heart and time.
Dee hosted bridge nights and had a knack for word games like crossword puzzles and Scrabble. She was smart, witty, and wise. She especially liked casino night out with her girlfriends and spent much time at the Buffalo games. Her other hobbies at one point included golf, bowling, and playing the accordion and organ. She also loved fishing and enjoying some of our 10,000 lakes. She was a huge MN Twins fan and liked watching NFL football. In her last months, she drew comfort in watching the old westerns like Gunsmoke and The Virginian.
A Celebration of Life open house will be held on Saturday, September 16th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Parkside Church, located at 9650 Paradise Lane, Waconia, MN. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together to remember and honor Dee's life.
Dee's memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her zest for life, her warm and caring nature, and the joy she brought to those around her. May she rest in peace.
