Michael  ‘Wheels’ Olmscheid

Olmscheid, Michael “Wheels”, age 66, died August 25, 2023 of lung cancer, 4 months after retirement from Metropolitan Council.   Preceded in death by parents, Bob and Dorothy.  He leaves behind special friend, Sabrina.  Siblings Geoffrey (Brenda), Gretchen, Peter, Ellen.  Nieces Abby and Stephanie.   A Memorial gathering will be held at First Memorial Waterston Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave. So., Wednesday, Sept. 6th 4p-7p with Remembrance/Sharing of Memories at 6pm.   As Mike would say to his departing bus riders, along with a nod of his head, “Have a Safe, Pleasant Day”.   He will be missed.
