Obituary of Dyanne Marie Strange

Dyanne Marie (Zustovich) Strange, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Abbot Northwest Hospital, Minneapolis.

She was born on January 25, 1948, in NYC, the second daughter of Anthony & Rose (Castelli). The family resided in Bayside, NY.

After high school, Dyanne worked first for Bell Telephone, NYC, and then Lanvin-Charles of the Ritz in NYC.

Dyanne and Peter met as teenagers and married on October 1, 1967. Two daughters were born in Stamford, CT but the family moved to Danbury, CT in 1972.

Because of Peter’s crazy work schedule, it was Dyanne who oversaw the girls’ day-to-day lives and well-being. During their elementary school years, she volunteered in the girls' elementary school. As her girls became teenagers, Dyanne began a job at Danbury Hospital in the billing department.

In 2010 she and Peter retired to Port Orange, FL. After Peter’s passing in 2014, she moved first to The Villages and then in 2021, to Chanhassen, MN, to be closer to her younger daughter.

She's preceded in death by her husband, Peter E Strange (2014).

She is survived by a sister, Peggi (husband Gar); two daughters, Jenniffer (Paul) and Christine (Jason); one grandson (Evan); a sister and brother-in-law (Mary & Jeff); two nieces (Noelle & Julie); two nephews (Christopher & Dan).

Her family would like to take a moment and thank the incredible staff at Abbott Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis for the care and compassion shown to Dyanne during her stay.
