Obituary of Helen McGlennen

McGLENNEN, HELEN age 93 of Bloomington, formerly of Richfield, passed away on July 6, 2016. Born on March 7, 1923 in Minneapolis. Preceeded in death by husband of 69 years Cletus 'Mac'. Survived by sons Gary and James (Barbara); grandchildren Steven (Alexis), Elizabeth (Andrew), Matthew (Marianka), Kristine, and Ryan; sister-in-law Erma; and numerous nephews and nieces. Helen grew up in south Minneapolis and graduated from Central high School. Over the course of her life she worked at several jobs, including the Star Tribune and as a travel agent. After her husband retired, she spent many winters on the Gulf Coast with her husband. She loved to play games and travel, especially enjoying many cruises. Her favorite thing in life was to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all. Memorial Service at 1 PM Sunday, July 31 at Founders Ridge Chapel, 6600 Auto Club Road, Bloomington, Mn 55438. Visitation at 12:30 PM. Private internment at Ft. Snelling. Memorials to Founders Ridge or the Alzheimers Association.
