Obituary of Louise Kathlynn Smith

Louise Kathlynn Smith (Lennox), age 75, of Golden Valley passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 8,2023 after enduring years of Alzheimer’s Dementia.

She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 22,1947 to Russell and Borghild Lennox. She married her husband Roland Smith in October of 1970, and they would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this year. She was a loving mother of two and loved being a granny even more to her two grandchildren.

Before her Alzheimer’s got worse over the past few years Louise loved entertaining friends and family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for a crowd, and it was always amazing! You would often find her in the yard or her sunroom working with her plants and flowers. She had quite the green thumb. What really put a smile on her face was all the time she spent with her grandchildren, as they lived very close and spent a lot of time growing up in their home.

Louise was loved by many! She will be dearly missed by her Husband, Roland Smith; Brothers, James (Patricia) Lennox and Allen Lennox; Children, Andrea (Ryan) Walesch and Aaron Smith; Grandchildren, Kendra Walesch and Jaxson Walesch; and many more family and friends.

Preceded in death by her Father, Russell Lennox; Mother, Borghild Lennox; Brother, George Loitz; Sister, Betty Chilson and Cherished Sister-in-law Patricia Lennox, Niece Tammy Kathman (Lennox) and nephew, Bret Loitz.
