Obituary of Juan Antonio Justiniano
Juan Antonio Justiniano (92) died peacefully on Aug 3rd at the MN Vet’s Home surrounded by family. He was a proud Puerto Rican Veteran who served his nation with honor and courage in the Korean War. He was a loving father, Abuelo, Tio and friend, who is survived by his wife Lesbia, sons; Tony (Claire), Al (Sylvia) and grandchildren; Gabriella and Spencer (Ed Snyder). Juan, a Social Worker, proudly worked with NY Catholic Charities, NY Youth Counselor Bureau, HUD as a disaster team coordinator and as a community organizer for the Youth Delinquency Bureau (Centro de Orientacion y Servicio) in Ponce, Puerto Rico. In retirement, Juan was a Vista Volunteer for the Oceola County Council of Aging in Florida where he was awarded a Proclamation from the city for his heroic effort in rescuing and evacuating 54 senior residents.
Juan left an indelible impression on many for his love of God and his profound devotion in serving others. His life was a true testimony of dedication to his faith in his acceptance of all and bringing joy to those he encountered by touching so many hearts with a smile and loving demeanor.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug 19th, 2023, from 9 am - noon at the MN Veterans Home - Mpls (theater room) 5101 Minnehaha Ave So. A time for sharing memories will be from 10 -11 am.
