Obituary of Mary Randall
Mary Jane Randall was born May 31, 1937 in St. Paul, MN, to parents Zebrum Hylton and Josephine (Hostrawser) Hylton in Saint Paul, MN. Mary was truly blessed and departed this life on July 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Grady J. Randall Sr, daughter, Rene L. Randall, Father, Zebrum Hylton; Mother, Josephine (Hostrawser) Hylton, beloved brothers, Larry Hylton, Donald Hylton & sister, Lorraine (Sis) Jungbauer.
At an early age Mary accepted Christ while attending Christ Episcopal Church. She attended Mechanic Arts High School where she met her soon to be husband Grady & graduated in 1955.
Minnesota Mutual Life hired Mary in 1972 and in 1998 changed its name to Securian Financial. She worked as a Claims Examiner for most of her time with the company and after 35 years of service she retired in 2007.
Mom loved to travel & she along with our dad driving his motor home have been to Banff Nation Park in Alberta Canada several times, they’ve also visited Hawaii & took a cruise to the Bahamas. She loved camping & fishing and were gone most weekends in the summer. She also loved traveling with her children & was able to visit Germany, Paris France & Spain while visiting daughter Michelle & Son in Love Randy when they were stationed in Germany. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking walks, shopping, eating out, garage sales & especially loved playing Bingo with her partner in crime Crystal Durham. Who were fondly known as “One Away” because they were always one away from winning.
She leaves behind her five children:
Michelle M. Freeman, (Randy), Maplewood, MN, Steven J. Randall (Torria) St. Paul, MN, Craig A. Randall, St. Paul, MN, Dawn Steward (Michael), St. Paul, MN, and Grady J. Randall, Jr. (Mary), Maplewood, MN, Blood Brother – David Romero, St. Paul, MN, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
