Obituary of Lawrence Thomas Jr.
Lawrence Thomas Jr., 68 of Brooklyn Park, passed away Saturday July 22, 2023. He was born in Minneapolis on November 25, 1954. He graduated from North High School. Most knew him either as Larry or Thomas, with his personality he was also known as Larry “Live”, Pimpin Larry, Vampire in Brooklyn, Ladies love Larry and so many more.
On November 19, 1990, he started at AaCron, 33 years later he semi-retired in 2022, but returned back to work full time. He held such positions as production worker and tank maintenance worker, he never wanted to do anything different from that.
Everyone knew him in the Pool community. He has won multiple pool tournaments in the APA (American Poolplayers Association) Championships in both 8 and 9 ball. If you knew, he was known for the one hand behind the back with his eyes closed trick shot. When he wasn’t at the pool hall, he was fishing with his family, or during the Vikings season, you could always find him at Steve-O trying to con someone out of a few dollars.
Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Thomas Sr. and McKevha Thomas, brother Keenan Townsend, sister Mona Townsend and Cousin Joey Norris.
Survived by his children, Anthony Bugg, Armonda (Mandy) Allen (Deshawn), Joshua Storrs, Lina Knox (Denise), Chris Bugg and LaRoyce Knox; grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews
Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, 11:00 am at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park MN 55445. Visitation one hour before service.
