Obituary of Luella J Larson
Luella J. Larson, age 91 of Minneapolis, born November 7, 1931, in Prinsburg, MN to Edgar and Mildred VanDenEinde passed away on June 15, 2023, after enduring a hospice journey for nearly 5 years. She graduated from Willmar High School where she worked at a bank before and after graduation. Lu and Lowell were married on June 12, 1953, in Roseland and lived in their south Minneapolis home for 65 years where they raised their 4 children.
She was employed by the Red Owl, Bemis Bag Company, and Decathlon Club while raising their family and she was always available for daycare for her grandkids. Lu and Lowell had a cleaning business for 15 years at Group Health and employed many neighborhood kids.
Some favorite memories include spending time with their grandkids and attending their sporting activities, Gopher hockey tickets, family time at Lake Kandyohi and Lake Pulaski, and Christmas cookie baking along with making Swedish sausage.
They had a timeshare and traveled frequently to Hawaii, Mexico, Arizona, and Lake Tahoe, where family members were always welcomed. Luella's life was centered around her family and faith and will be greatly missed by her children Vonnie (Brad), Vicki (Conrad), Wayne (Anne), Scott (Patti), 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Ethel Good, and brother Dennis (Sue).
God has her in his keeping and we have her in our hearts and memories.
Due to COVID when Lowell passed away, a gathering celebrating both Luella and Lowell will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, 5-8 pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota- Edina, 7110 France Ave S, Edina. Luella and Lowell will be laid to rest together at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in September.
Highlighted in Lowell's Bible was 2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.
