Obituary of Bernard Frederick Molitor

Bernard Frederick "Bernie" Molitor of Woodbury, MN, passed away on May 8, 2023 at Regions Hospital, after battling for some time with many medical issues.

Bernard was born on May 22, 1943 in Saint Paul, MN. Throughout his lifetime, Bernie left a positive mark on the lives of countless individuals through his work at the University of Minnesota and Lakeville Community Education. Bernie was known for his strong intelligence, kindness, and capacity for forgiveness. He enjoyed conversing with people from all walks of life, and was adored by his and others pets for the treats and attention. He would often spend time with his family, and take part in activities such as fishing, biking, and camping. Bernie was also a lover of books, history, social justice, equality, culture, arts, and music.

Bernard is survived by his sons Wolfe, Michael, and Joseph Molitor; his grandchildren Riley, Alexis, and Payton Molitor; and his sisters Colleen McCormick and Kate O'Reily. Bernard was preceded in death by his spouse, Margaret L. Molitor; his father, Bernard A Molitor; and his mother, Rosemary C. Molitor. A Celebration of Life service for Bernard will be held on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 from 1pm-4pm at the Valley Creek Room at Woodbury Central Park, 8595 Central Park Place, Woodbury, MN 55125. Family and friends are welcome to attend and express their condolences or share fond memories of Bernard.
