Obituary of Maria Ann Molden

Molden, Maria age 63, of Bloomington, MN, passed away after a long battle with MS on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 with family by her side.

Beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Maria was born May 27, 1959 in Omaha, NE to Al and Roseann Molden.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roseann.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Meghan, father Al, and siblings Mike (Vilma), Dennie, Rich (Gail), Denise, Roseanna (Randy) Johnson, Chris, and nephews Nolan, Ryan, and Mitchell Johnson and niece Mikai Molden, uncle Walter (Pam) Molden, aunt Elvia Gillott and many extended family and friends.

Maria loved to spend time with family and friends, especially on a lake with the sun shining. She was a skilled seamstress, loved all crafts, hosting her family and cooking. Maria was diagnosed with MS more than two decades ago. She battled the progressive disease with grace and class and amazing resilience. Throughout her entire struggle against MS, she never lost her sense of humor and always had an inviting smile to share with others.

The family is very grateful for each and every one of Maria’s caregivers who all loved her dearly and took great care of her. The family is especially appreciative of Accent Hospice, and more specifically, her nurse for the last several months, Tiffani.

Maria was always supportive of her nephews attending their sporting events and school activities. As a daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend Maria always went above and beyond, putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She was a wonderful listener and was inquisitive about others. Maria’s life on earth has ended as she has joyously rejoined her Mom in Heaven, but her spirit and legacy will live on through the lives of all those who were blessed to have known her.
