Obituary of Leona Stella Otremba

Leona S. Otremba, age 93 of Eagan, MN passed away peacefully on May 12, 2023, with her strong spiritual faith and love of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Otremba and Robert Zimmerman, parents Roman and Agnes Dubiel, brothers John, Jerry and Fred Dubiel, sisters Dellie Treb and RoseAnn Haus. Her son Robert (Jeanne) Otremba and daughter Cheryl (Doug) Thompson.

Survived by sons Gary (Marie) Otremba, John Otremba, Gerald (Julie) Otremba, and Terry (Julianna) Otremba and daughter Mary (Mic) Otremba. Her fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, brother Ralph (Janet) Dubiel, sisters Irene Lee and Charlene (Dennis) Meyer along with many nieces and nephews.

She has lived in the Cedar Grove neighborhood for over 60 years and has been a member of the community making longtime friends along with neighbors that kept coming back to see her year after year. She worked for the Burnsville-Eagan School District in Food Service “Lunch Lady” at Metcalf Junior High for over 20 years before she retired. She loved her flowers, soap operas and old time polka music.

She is and always will be a wonderful mother, grandma and great-grandmother and the heart of this family.

Please join us in celebrating her life. Mass of the Christian Burial Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff Road East, Burnsville, MN. Immediately followed with luncheon at the church
