Obituary of Rose Marie Imbery

Rose Imbery, age 89, passed on April 15 due to Alzheimers and underlying pneumonia. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Royal Imbery. She is also survived by her daughters: Kathy Odegaard (Tom), Linda Ward (Rick) and Karen Imbery. In addition, Rose had two grandchildren Emily Aman (Josh) and Ben Ward (Lexie) and great grandson William Royal.

Funeral Services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Friday, April 28. Visitation is at 9:00 AM and the Funeral Mass Service is at 10:00 AM. The church is located at 4030 Pilot Knob Road in Eagan, Minnesota. A luncheon will be served following the Mass. There may be a private burial on a separate date due to scheduling conflicts, which will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Rose was caring, kind, loveable, hardworking, and always willing to help others. She was most proud of raising her children to become who they are today. Rose loved to sew clothes for her daughters to wear. Rose was influenced by Grandma Imbery's talent for sewing Barbie doll clothes, from wedding dresses to pajamas.

Roses favorite foods were fried chicken, homemade chicken noodle soup, dumplings, and apple pie with ice cream. While at home, Rose enjoyed watching television, from comedies to western movies.

Her favorite vacations were to the Black Hills in South Dakota, a camping trip to Colorado, and an RV road trip to Canada. There were many trips to visit family in South Dakota as well as Washington state to visit her grandchildren. She also traveled to see her brother, Harold, in California and her sister, Bernice, in Texas. Family summer vacations included rental cabins on Lake Emily in northern Minnesota. These trips were always a fun time with relatives or just making new friends in the resort. Rose's German potato salad stole the show at the resort fish fry each year.

We will miss our wife, mother, and grandmother Rose; but we are grateful that she is with our Lord now, free of her locked mind, and free to cook for the angels. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Minnesota Veteran's Home for the excellent medical care and compassion they provided to Rose.
