Obituary of Marlene J Schultz

Marlene J Schultz, age 89 of Maple Plain died peacefully at Haven Homes, surrounded by her family on April 11, 2023 after a long fight with cancer. Marlene graduated from Mound High School, married Richard, her high school sweetheart, became a Navy wife and mother, and worked as a cook for Orono School District for many years.

Marlene loved family, friends, and her community. She was involved in many social organizations in Maple Plain. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, always present and honoring the veterans at the annual Memorial Day services. Her love for food kept many people fed over the years, especially at school, and at their lake house.

Marlene is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard Schultz. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Susan Schultz, Lee Ann Schultz; son, Scot Schultz (Libby Heaps); grandchildren, Cory Schultz, Tia Schultz, Angie Nicholls; great grandchildren, Athena Schultz, Ty Minarik, Jaid Schultz, Cooper Schultz; sisters, Cora Smith (Jerry), Janet Ernst and many other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, Funeral service Saturday, April 22  10 AM at First Presbyterian Church, Maple Plain, 558 Co. Rd 110, Maple Plain.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ridgeview Hospice in her name. They were a great source of comfort and compassion to Marlene and family.
