Obituary of Gary Milton Meyer
Gary Milton Meyer was born on September 26, 1947, to Ivan and Marjorie Meyer in Tyler, MN. He passed away peacefully early March 24th at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was baptized and confirmed at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church and grew up on the family farm. He attended country school in Diamond Lake Township and graduated from Lake Benton High School in 1965. He entered the U.S. Navy in September 1965 and served until September 1968.
His working career in warehousing included Sears, roebuck, and Co., Super America, and Best Buy. His last 10 years of work were with the Bloomington Transportation Dept., first as a bus driver, then as an aide.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger days.
Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife Dagna, son Chris (Kayo) Meyer of Lakeville, daughter Lisa (Dave) Brown of Austin, MN., brothers Dan (Brenda) Meyer of Woodstock, MN. and Mark Meyer of Lake Benton, MN. Also many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Edwin.
Celebration of Life will be held from 11 am to 3 pm on April 14th at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave., Edina, MN 55435.
