Peter Anthony Nasvik peacefully passed away on March 14th 2023 at the age of 80 years old after a battle with brain cancer.
Peter was born in St. Paul on September 4, 1942 and is preceded in death by his parents Vernice and Joseph, brother Philip and his sister Heidi. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Margaret, his children Greta (Jason), Peter Ole (Katy) and Kaarl (Annie), his beloved grandchildren Kyler, Hans, Annalis, Alex, Riley, Reese, Ayla, Sam and Quincy. He is also survived by his siblings Joe (Kay), Marit, Heather (Ken), Jon (Katy), Dinah, Paul (Jill) and Robin (Dan).
Peter lived an active life focused on God, family and his construction business. Peter was an innovator of several techniques in concrete and taught classes at the St Paul TVI. He was one of the first to install Bomanite, stamped and colored concrete paving including at Epcot. He invented a system to create rock formations from concrete which can be seen at the MNZoo, MOA, Rainforest Cafe and around the world. He helped develop a system to create rock walls in poured concrete which are installed along highways across the nation. He also invented a soft tile system to make pool decks safer. Peter was a devoted follower of Jesus and served as a choir member, board member, leader and teacher and he donated his talents to many church projects over the years. Peter also served as member/chair for District 197, and on the WBT Park Board for many years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Service to be held Monday, April 24, visitation at 10:00am, service at 11:00am with refreshments to follow at North Heights Arden Hills campus, 1700 West Highway 96.
