Obituary of Abraham Franklin Amon Miller

Abraham Franklin Amon Miller, 41, of Duluth Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, March 29th 2023 at St. Luke’s hospital following a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, March 26th. He was surrounded by his wife Laura and many close friends and family.

Abe grew up in Buffalo Minnesota and moved to Duluth in 2000 to attend college at the University of Minnesota Duluth for Secondary Education. He completed student teaching in Australia. He was passionate about helping others and worked in the Human Services field for over 14 years. 

Abe enjoyed traveling and was able to see so much of the world. Memorable trips included Iceland, London for the MN Vikings game, Paris and most recently Alaska for his 40th birthday. He loved Lake Superior, camping, fishing, kayaking, watching football, cooking, playing guitar, and music in all forms.  

Abe was a kind, patient and intelligent person that touched so many lives. His warmth and charisma drew in so many close friends whom he cherished and loved. 

He is survived by his wife Laura and their beloved dogs Apollo and Zephyr, his parents Roger and Darlene Miller, his brothers Pete and Andrew Miller, his sister Mary(Brandon)Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and caring friends. 

A very heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at the 6th floor ICU at St. Luke’s Hospital. Your care of Abe was truly exceptional. A Celebration of Life is being planned and details will be shared when finalized.
