Obituary of Donna Lee Watier

Donna Lee Watier, 80, passed away on March 6, 2023, at the Minnesota Masonic Home after a long illness.

A Wisconsin native, Donna was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Muskego High School and University of Wisconsin-White Water.

After a move from Ohio to Minnesota with her family, husband Bob Watier and sons, Pierre and Andre, she received her MS from Mankato State and taught Special Education at Lakeville High School.

Donna’s spare time was filled with outdoor trips, caring for grandchildren and her creative outlets, water color painting and wood carving.

Donna is survived by beloved son, Andre (Jennifer) , grandchildren Brittany and Brandon, long-time caring partner Ron Waters, loving sister Joan and daughter-in-law Kris Watier.

She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Wanda Schaefer, husband, Bob Watier and much-loved son, Pierre Watier.

She was also blessed to have many friends and cousins who have helped her through this journey, especially dear friends Sharon and Neil Hahn.

Special thanks to all of the staff at Minnesota Masonic Home who helped care for Donna in the best possible way and to Grace Hospice who guided her through the last months of her journey.

An informal Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 23, 2023 at Doolittles Woodfire Grill in Eagan, MN from 12:00 to 3:00.
