Obituary of Darlene E. Feckers

Darlene Evelyn Feckers, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 22, under hospice care in Burnsville, Minn. She was born in March 25, 1931, to Frank and Frances Blair. Darlene was a longtime resident of Cedar Falls before moving to Burnsville nine years ago. She worked for Hy-Vee in the delicatessen for 25 years before retiring in 1991. Survived by: two sons, Richard (Kathy) and Robert; a daughter, Connie (Frank) Ripka; a brother, Bill (Lavonne) Blair; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Richard Feckers; a daughter, Claudia Feckers Hatcher; and a brother, Donald Blair. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Condolences and memories may be sent to 24652 100th St., Sumner 50674. Darlene loved animals, especially her dog Tony, and watching Nascar races. She enjoyed a long retirement, spending time with family and friends.
