Duane "Mike" Michaelson
Duane "Mike" Michaelson, passed away Oct. 28, 2016, at the Superior Rehab Center in Superior at the age of 86. He was born in Janesville, Wis. to parents, Esther and Clarence Michaelson on Jan. 17, 1930.
Duane served eight years in the Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1955. He worked construction for many years at James Steel Construction with one of his life long friends CForeman John Squires until he retired in 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie; and seven children, Sue Latureau, Michael (Dolly) Michaelson, Nina (Lane) Wharrie, Wonda (Marc) Swearingen, Missy Lascewski, Marilyn (Tom) Fassell, and Shelley (Michael) Kanke; and six step-children, Tom Buck, Debi Buck, Janice Huppert, Jerry (Theresa) Buck, Jody (Tom) Ballentine, and Paul (Lina) Dietmeier. And many grandchildren and many, many more great-granchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Clarence; daughter, Lynda; son, Bill; and first wife Edna.
Visitation: held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with the celebration of life luncheon to follow on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Dairyland Town Hall, State Highway 25. Mike invites anyone to wear their Packers gear.
