Obituary of Harold Bentley Roland
Harold "Bud" Bentley Roland, 90, of Duluth, passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 with his family by his side.
Harold was born in Duluth on Nov. 21, 1925 to Albert and Mamie (Larson) Roland.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II (1944-46). After returning home he was united in marriage to Ruby Anderson on June 30, 1956. Harold was employed as a master craftsman for the majority of his career. He worked for several area businesses including Billman's and St. Germain's.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; daughter, Kandice Linskie; four brothers and one sister.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Marty) Christiansen, Kelly Roland and Mary Ann Roland-Williamson; four grandchildren, Desirre (Jamie) Smith, Martin and Alina Christiansen, Andrew Linskie; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Hunter Smith; one brother and two sisters as well as many extended family members and friends.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth. Military Honors will be provided by the Duluth Honor Guard. Services entrusted to Cremation Society of Minnesota 218-624-5200
