Obituary of Kristopher Michael Zimmerman

Kristopher "Zim" Michael Zimmerman, 43, of Duluth, left this world unexpectedly, yet peacefully, Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016. He was sitting in his deer stand in the woods that he loved. Kris was born Oct. 17, 1973 to Larry and Alice Elaine (Fulkerson) Zimmerman. He was a self-taught auto mechanic working in several shops before finding his niche at Lester Park Skelly alongside his cherished friend, Tom Atkinson. Kris was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting. He was a proud member of the Northwestern Gun Club, where he made numerous friends. A quiet man with a fierce love of family and friends, he will be deeply missed. Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Wiley G. Fulkerson and Marilyn and Harold Zimmerman. Kris is survived by his parents; step-mother Susan; his beloved hunting companion Dixie; his Fulkerson uncles: Wiley S. (Tammy), Phillip (Saundra), Charles Allen and Richard (Joann); uncle Dennis (Diane Holm) Zimmerman and aunt Shari (Ole) Triska; numerous cousins and their families and a multitude of faithful friends.
