Obituary of Sylvester Tucker

Sylvester Tucker, 69, of Duluth, passed away on Nov. 21, 2016 in his apartment in Duluth's Central Hillside. He was born Nov. 10, 1947 in Mississipi, relocated to Duluth by the Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. A graduate of St. Scholastica College and an avid reader, Sylvester taught English and coached the girl's softball team at Duluth's Central High School. He is survived by two sisters, Ann and Hester; two brothers, Otis and Earnest; nephews; nieces; grandchildren; and his six children, Stefanie, Steven, Michael, Stacy, Scott and Sativa, and their mother, Minerva. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11, 2016 in St. Marks Church in Duluth.
