Obituary of Bruce Russell Erickson

Bruce Russell Erickson, of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully on 11/24/2016. He was 80 years old. Born on November 2, 1936, Bruce grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from North High School. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, where he played on the national championship 1956 Gopher Baseball team. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked in sales for many years and retired as a black jack dealer at Mystic Lake Casino at the age of 70. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Ruth, his brother Ron, and former spouse Isabelle. He is survived by sons Blake (Kristi), and Brett, significant other Sandee Cote and her children John (Eivette), Michelle (Brad) Pawek, and Peter (Amanda), and grandchildren Leah, Stephanie, John, Kayla, Nicole, Keylin, McKenna, and Taylor. A private graveside interment will be held for the family at Ft Snelling National Cemetery on December 16, 2016 at 2:00PM. All are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life for Bruce on December 16, 2016 from 4PM - 8PM at JC's Sports Bar, 251 W. Burnsville Pkwy, Burnsville, MN 55337.
