Obituary of Emma Villeda Vargas

Emma Villeda Vargas 78 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Emma was born to Reyes Villeda and Francisca Vargas on April 17, 1944 in Chalatenango, El Salvador. She was a loving mother to seven children, Mario, Napoleon, Lilian, Yony, Yolanda, Oscar and Bianca. 

For the past 24 years, she lived in St. Paul, Minnesota with her children. Emma loved gardening, dancing, music and especially going to her grandchildren’s sport games. Her passion for cooking was greatly appreciated by her family & she loved teaching others how to make some of her specialties. She treasured spending time with her family and traveling. Her children & grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by her parents, her children’s father Carlos Napoleon and daughter Yolanda. Survived by her six children and spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Emma will be planned during the Spring/Summer months, place and time TBA.
