Marilyn Lee Bluel

Passed away on Monday, February 27th at her home in West St. Paul at the age of 73.

Marilyn was Born August 30th, 1950, in St. Paul, Mn, she was the daughter of Raymond Doocy and Jeanette Dupre.

Marilyn graduated from Monroe High School, St. Paul, Mn, in 1968. She married her first and only love, Jack Bluel, on August 31st, 1968, one day after her 18th birthday.

She was a stay at home mom until 1977 when she started her paralegal career. She became a member of the legal firm of Ralph T. Nelson and Associates in 1984, continuing until just months before her death.

Marilyn and Jack came to Christ in November of 1994 and started to attend Faith Baptist Church of St. Paul, Mn. For the last two years they have been members at Bethel Baptist church of Sunfish Lake, Mn.

Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. If she was not with friends, family, or at church, she could be found at Kohl’s, looking for her next pair of shoes.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father Raymond (Phyliss) Doocy, mother Jeanette (Arnold) Koeck, Sister Sherry Doocy, Father-in-law Robert Bluel, mother-in-law Dorothy Paul,sister-in-law Rita Holmberg.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 54 years John Bluel Sr, son John (Tammy) Bluel Jr. Grandchildren; Vicktoria Bluel, Tatianna (Anthony) Michaelson, John Bluel III, Abbiegail Bluel, Caleb James Bluel. Siblings, Jean Wilson, Dale Doocy, Julie (Joe) Croissant, Raymond (Colleen) Doocy, Denise (Rob) Anstiss, Rick (Kathy) Koeck, Kathy Koeck.

Marilyn was passionate about youth. She and Jack served the youth in their church and are requesting that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Bethel Baptist Church for youth ministries.
