Obituary of Felicita Emma Good

Felicita Emma Good, age 81, a devoted wife, mom and grandma, passed away being held by her daughter on the morning of February 15th, 2023 due to Multiple System Atrophy. Felicita was born January 29, 1942 in Taylor, Texas to Elfriede (Schwertner) and Stephen Joseph Marturano of Jarrell, Texas.

Felicita grew up in Jarrell and Temple, Texas. She met her future husband, John, at Baylor University during her freshman year. They were married August, 31, 1963 and celebrated almost 28 years together, having three children before his untimely passing in 1991. She earned a B.A. in English, a Masters in Counseling, and held a career with the state of Texas for 25 years as a Texas Employment Commission Supervisor before retiring to become a full time adventure grandma to her grandchildren. She will be remembered in creating a love of travel, museums and aquariums in her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Elfriede, her husband John and her brother, Steve. Felicita is survived by her sister Patsy Clark (Jerry) and sister-in-law Carol Marturano, her children Leandra Louder (Darrell), Adriana Poirier (Brad), and Christopher Good (Elissa) as well as her grandchildren Cory Louder, Nick Louder, Syra Poirier, Annwyn Kramer, Joey Kramer, and John Good.

I want to thank the staff of Beehive Homes of Lakeville and Minnesota Hospice for their gentle care of her and helping me keep her as active, happy and entertained as possible these last nine months. I could not have kept her spirits up alone and they were all so wonderful in their attentiveness to her constantly changing needs.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those she touched.

Graveside service will be held at 10am on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Corn Hill, Texas. Gather with us afterward for lunch and to celebrate her memory in the Holy Family Hall located behind the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
