Obituary of Karen Katherine Frickey

Karen K. Frickey (Jetzke), age 80 of Oakdale, passed away peacefully on February 10th, 2023.

She is survived by siblings, Julie Kelsen; and her children, Elizabeth and Tom, Centennial, CO, Jim Jetzke, Green Bay WI, Suzy Jetzke (Eric Short), Cottage Grove; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steve; parents, Ed and Marcy Jetzke; brother, David Jetzke; and brother-in-law, Don Kelsen.

Karen taught kindergarden and junior first grade in ISD 622. She began her career at Eagle Point Elementary and retired from Oakdale Elementary.

Service and burial will be in Hibbing, MN at a later date.

A special thank you to the staff at St. Therese at St. Odilia Hospice and Allina Hospice for the loving care Karen received from them. Memorials may be sent in Karen's name to St. Therese at St. Odilia Hospice or Allina Hospice.
