Obituary of William C. Magnuson

William “Bill” C. Magnuson, age 73, of Victoria, passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2023.

William was born June 15, 1949 in St. Cloud to Carlton & Marguerite Magnuson. He grew up in and attended Annandale schools where he graduated in 1967. He met the love of his life, Margaret at a wedding in 1970 and they later married on October 6, 1973. Bill eventually found his way into houseware sales – working for Magnuson Supervalu during his childhood and his knack for making friends made this career a natural fit for him. His job with Snapware moved he and Margaret to Southern California in 1997 where they resided until 2012. 

Bill enjoyed being outside including golfing, gardening and or just hanging out with family and friends in their backyard pool…pretty much anything that went well with a couple of cold beers and you could count him in. Bill was always up for a good time. He also loved to watch golf and all Minnesota Sports teams - especially the Vikings. However, nothing brought him more joy than his grandkids. He cherished every moment he was able to spend with them and watch them grow.

Left to remember Bill are his loving wife of 49 years, Margaret; son, Justin (Anna); grandchildren, Elin, Ella and Henrik; siblings, Barb (Mike) McNellis and Bob Magnuson; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Marguerite.

A celebration of life will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave, Edina, MN 55435 on February 9, 2023, at 2:30. Visitation begins at 2:00.
