Obituary of Daniel James Standiford

Daniel James Standiford, 80, of Princeton MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 1st, 2023.

Daniel was born in Chicago, Illinois to William and Ruth (Davidson) Standiford and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After moving to St. Paul, he began working at Whirlpool Corporation where he met his wife, Cindy. The couple then moved to Princeton, Minnesota, where Daniel worked at Crystal Cabinets for many years. After retirement, he worked as the morning “Coffee Guy” at the local Super America where he met and befriended many people from the local community who looked forward to seeing him each morning.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Standiford, and sisters Diane Standiford and Janice (Ron) Carlson. He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Cindy, their daughter Stephanie, sister Sandy (Rick) Kay, and many other extended family members and friends. Daniel was known for his sweet, caring nature and his witty sense of humor. His kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be missed.
