Obituary of Shirley Ann Sharpe-Neale
With great sadness, I’m announcing the loss of my beloved mother, Shirley Sharpe-Neale, 94 of Bloomington, formerly of Edina, on December 29, 2022. She was born August 5, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Harry and Corrinne Heckathorne. Shirley was preceded in death but reunited with her beloved husband, Sydney Sharpe Neale, beautiful daughter Kathi
Henrichs, and siblings: Brother, Parker Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa, Sisters, Elinor Agustsson, Chanhassen, Jeanne Staley Rogers, Indiana and Donna Smith of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is survived by her loving daughter, Cynthia Frances, Minnetonka, granddaughter Sara Greer, Colorado, and Nieces, Deb Schaub Greer, Minnetrista, Donna Wilson Howard, Des Moines, Iowa, and Lavonne Novell-Yalkut, Kristine Staley, and Adrienne Maynard, all of Indiana and many dear friends.
Shirley had a vibrant and successful career as a legal secretary for many law firms and maintained special friendships from those years. Her passion and talent for gardening was memorable to all and will continue as she tends to gardens in Heaven! Birds were also very special to her, particularly hummingbirds. Her granddog, Latte, is now with his Gamma.
Shirley will be remembered for her beautiful smile, laugh, generosity, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A “Celebration of Life” gathering will be held August on her birthday for friends and family with a Hummingbird and Lily garden created in her honor. A special thank you is extended to the wonderful caregivers at Sholom Home West and Park Nicollet Methodist Hospice for their loving care and kindness. Memorials are preferred to Sholom Foundation at www.sholomfoundation.com or the Animal Humane Society.
