Obituary of Rita Cheryl Cox

Cox, Rita C.

Age 78, of Farmington, passed away January 21, 2023 in her home with her family present.

A loving and generous woman who made Christ the center in word and deed; she left a number of people better by simply knowing her. She heaped compassion on others through her career as a nurse at the Veterans Home of MN, as a wife, mother, sister and more.

Survived by husband Jim, sons: James, Patrick and Daniel; daughters: Rebecca Hovseth (Timothy), Sheila Hall (Douglas) and Dihanna Fischer (Robert); grandchildren Ashley, Austin, Stephen, Courtney, Jessica, Taryn, Jakob, Elizabeth, Katie, Emily, Natalie, Erika, Brandon, Amber, Ashlyn and additionally 11 great grandchildren. Siblings: Sue Benton, Rod Friese, Mary Meyer, Deb Beemer, Laurie Flipse.

Preceded in death by parents Viola and Luverne Friese and sibling Bruce Friese.

Memorial ceremony on Saturday, February 4, 12-3 PM with service at 12:30 PM and lunch to follow at Cremation Society of MN in St Paul, 1979 Old Hudson Road.
