Obituary of Entrip Leo Syverson
Entrip Leo Syverson was born on August 6, 1936 in rural Trail, MN to parents Theodore and Linda Syverson. He was baptized and confirmed at Vernes Lutheran Church in rural McIntosh, MN.
He attended a one room country school, worked on the farm and volunteered for the U.S. Army in 1957, during which he spent some time in Hanau, Germany. After being discharged in 1959, he married Sharon Bolme and the couple moved to Moorhead, MN.
While living in Moorhead, he worked in school maintenance for the Moorhead school district and after moving to Eden Prairie, MN, he worked for the Richfield Schools until retiring in 1996.
Entrip and Sharon are members of the Christiania Lutheran Church in rural Lakeville, MN.
Survivors include: one son, James (Laurie), and nine grandchildren, Christopher (Clara), Jordan (Beth), Ciera (Peter) Irwin, Jesse (Alexa), Josie (Quentin) Case, Tillie, Anna, Ellie and Promise. Entrip is also survived by two great grandchildren, Azaiah Irwin and Judah Syverson, Sister, Gloria, Brother-in-law, Morris Hendrickson, and Sisters-in-law, Delores, Conne and Corky Syverson.
Entrip was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Floyd Syverson, Verna Syverson, Lorraine (Rueben) Brekke, infant twins, Morris and Doris, Ruby (Curtis) Heideman, Ardell (Lloyd) Opdahl, Eleanora Hendrickson, Arnold Syverson, Bernice (Jerome) Voxland, Karsten Syverson and Viola Georgeson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation Fund of Christiania Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
A Church service will be held at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Ave, Lakeville, MN on February 4th at 11am with visitation at 9:30am. Lunch will follow.
