Obituary of Walter Arthur Williams

Walter A. Williams was born on May 4, 1938 in Crawfordsville, Arkansas to Luemmer and Walter Williams Sr. Walter was the eldest of five siblings.

Walter moved to Chicago in 1952 and attended school with his sister Nettie. He left Chicago in 1958 and moved to Minneapolis, working for a number of years at Honeywell.

Walter enjoyed classic cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching old western movies and WWE wrestling from his favorite chair. During the summer months, he enjoyed relaxing on the deck.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Janis of 45 years; children Lionell Sr. (LaDonna), Tracy, Darius, Walter, Chantelle (Cory Sr.) and Anthony (Vun); 23 grandchildren Terrance, Kahlonii, Lionell Jr., Kimberly, Natasha, Traise, Travon, Martez, Trakaray, Lalanie, Walter, Daevon, Joevon, Natika, Hayley, Isaiah, Nita, Tyler, Tavious, Kaden, Cory Jr., Jordyn, Eli; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters Nettie, Shirley, Emmer; brother Lonnie; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Service will be Sunday, January 22 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN. Visitation 12:00-2:00 p.m., Service 2:00 p.m.
