Obituary of Linda Mary Ruth (Glockner)

Linda passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the age of 77 due to complications from a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. Linda was born January 22, 1945, in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Richfield, MN. A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Linda’s passion was her grandchildren and doing everything she could to not miss an event where one of them was performing or competing or just spending time with them.

Linda loved gardening. She created beautiful gardens everywhere she lived. Her love of animals and drawing produced beautiful pictures she shared with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her son Brad (Traci), daughter Melissa (Dan) and her 6 grandchildren Kayla, Michael, Brandon, Amanda, Elle and Jackson; sister Nancy (Mike), brother Gary (Marty), and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Delores Glockner and brother David Glockner.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Eagan Pointe Senior Living and New Brighton Hospice who provided comfort and support for Linda and her family.

A visitation and celebration for Linda will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023, 1:30 pm at Unity South Church, 7950 1st Ave S, Bloomington, MN 55420

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Linda’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Inurnment will take place privately at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
