To my beautiful son. Chad you were my firstborn so awakened me to the joy of motherhood. To lose you is beyond comprehension. A mother should not have to bury a child. I think often of Mary who was called to give birth to our Savior, Jesus, knowing she would also bury him. God understands the magnitude of my loss. I choose to trust that it was God's mercy and grace that brought you home so young and that you fulfilled your work on this earth. I know you were not alone in your last moments and that the Holy Spirit cradled you in his arms to bring you to Heaven. Your life was a blessing, not only to me, pops, your brothers, your wife and children, and family and friends who loved you, but I am becoming aware how God used the gifts he gave you to reach out and bless others to a degree I hadn't known. You were bold in your faith. You truly were a warrior on this earth. I pray that your legacy will be that God will continue to use your passing and ministry to open the hearts of others. I was very blessed and proud to be your mother. My tears will eventually wane and joy will come forth in my heart again one day, but...not yet. Amid the tears, the memories and pictures I have of you and seeing how you touched the lives of others is already bringing forth healing. I will see you again one day. I love you. Mom
