Gayle Marie Hoogakker

Devoted beloved wife mother and grandmother.

Gayle Marie Hoogakker, 69 passed away December 18, 2022, surrounded by family and friends.
Gayle was born August 23, 1953, in Minneapolis to Noel and Lois Devroy. She grew up in Edina, MN and graduated in 1971. She attended St Cloud State University and graduated with a BS degree in 1975.

Gayle met Dirk on New Year’s Eve 1985 and married in 1989. They were lifelong companions and friends. In 1990 they welcomed their only child Mark. She worked at Atmosphere Commercial Interiors for over 40 years and retired in 2017.

Gayle is survived by husband Dirk, son Mark, daughter in law Ashley, four granddaughters Adreanna, Olivia, Paisley, and Unborn granddaughter, Her sister Pat (Joe), niece Peggy (Marv), and great niece Lucy.

Gayle will be remembered for her passion and love for her family, close friends and going to the lake.

Visitation will be held Sunday January 8th at 11:30 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S. Edina, MN 55435
