Obituary of Jake Dean Hamre

Jake Dean Hamre, age 14, of Ham Lake Minnesota, passed away due to complications from mitochondrial disease on December 13th, 2022.

Jake’s bright personality lit up every room. His openness and laughter made everyone comfortable in his presence. Jake taught others to look past his physical limitations to see the awesome soul inside. Jake made a huge impact on everyone that he met, and we are proud to call him our son. Jake lived his best life regardless of the challenges he faced. Jake loved boating on the pontoon, floating in his tube, listening to music, going for walks, watching his favorite shows on TV, spending time in nature, going for car rides with the windows down and the music up, and giving everyone high-fives. Jake loved his family and his dog Ruby immensely.

Jake is survived by his parents, Brock and Becky Hamre, his big brother Max Hamre, Grandparents Dean and Sandy Hamre, Edward and Mary Mulder, and Shirley Mulder. Uncles and Aunts Michael and Jennifer Brown, Tanya and Dave Prahl, Josh and Jenna Hamre, Jeff and Kendra Forga, Chad Forga, and many other extended family and friends.

A celebration of life and open house will be held on Friday, February 10th, from 5 – 9 PM at Majestic Oaks Golf Club located at 701 Bunker Lake Boulevard, Ham Lake, MN 55304.
