Obituary of Vera Nell Phifer

Vera Nell Phifer, 87, of Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022. She was surrounded by loved ones. Preceded in death by son, Rodney Kent, Parents: Beulah and Timothy, and eight siblings. She is survived by children: John Timothy (Timmy) and Tamie, and grandchildren: Jemeris, Kevin, and Genesis, older brother Timothy (and spouse), and a long list of nieces and nephews. Vera was a faithful servant and unwavering soldier for Christ. She freely and unashamedly shared her faith to anyone and everyone. Vera was never ever too busy or in a rush to talk about Jesus. She also had a passion for music, singing, and people. Vera would often times be found singing in or leading the church choir where she would harmonize with anyone. She participated in praise and worship until her last days. Vera wholeheartedly believed in her Heavenly Father and the promises that laid ahead of her. No one was a stranger to her. Once she hit you with her warm smile and big heart, you were a friend for life. Vera made everyone feel individually special and like they belonged. Her listening ear, great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and advice will be greatly missed. Celebration of Life will be Saturday October 15, 2022 at the Cremation Society of Minneapolis.
