Detrice Deshawn Jones 

Sunrise 7/10/1971 - Sunset 9/24/2022 

Detrice was born to Rosemary Childs and Donald Allen on July 10, 1971. Since then, he went on to become a very important person in a lot of people’s lives. He was a Father, son, husband, mentor, teacher, biker, and the #1 security guard to all.  

Detrice is preceded in death by his grandparents Selena Harris and John Allen, brother Korey Dumas.  

He is survived by his parents; Rosemary and Charles Childs, wife; Seacorra Webb Jones, Children; Jeanean, Jaquan, Jarone, Stepchildren; Anthony, Jamease, Avery, Shakyira, Javontae, Kiaree, Grandchildren; Jabar, Janeana, Ai’ee, Sirr, Keshawn, Avery Jr., Cassiel, sisters; Melvina (Shane) McQueen and Tasha Cooley, and 9 other grandchildren.  

He was a loved member of the Harris-Jones and Allen Family and a forever friend to Tamekia Jones.  

It’s hard to find the words to share just how much you meant to us! Even harder to process that you’re no longer here. One word that sticks with us most is FAMILY! On this day, the meaning of family reminds us to fully appreciate our memories ingraining love in ourselves and in our lives. You always knew how to make an entrance or leave a boom! You definitely left a mark in our hearts. Blood never trumped our love! Because of you we remember to hold each other closer today than yesterday! You were a forever lover and best friend, father figure, paw paw, a giant but generous lover to us all. We have memories of your singing to keep us joy, your size to make us feel warm, your selflessness to keep us strong. We love you forever!
