Obituary of Sue Ann Ellingwood

Sue A. Ellingwood 

Age 73. Sue died at her home in Saint Paul on September 21, 2022.

Sue was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Mary Ellngwood; sister, Gigi Fitzpatrick. Survived by sisters, Kay and Molly Ellngwood; brother-in-law, Jim Fitzpatrick.

A lifelong learner, Sue graduated from the College of St. Catherine in Library Sciences. She earned a Master’s in Arts and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master’s in Public Administration from Hamline University.

Sue loved her family, dear friends, a good book and spending time at her lake cottage. She also loved traveling. One of her favorite trips was the International Yeats Society Conference in Sligo, Ireland.

Honoring Sue’s wishes, no service is planned. Donations in her memory may be sent to The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library (thefriends.org).

Sue’s family would like to thank her oncologist of almost 15 years, Balkrishna N. Jahagirdar (MBBS), the Cancer Care Team at Regions Hospital, and HealthPartners Hospice for their care and compassion.
