Obituary of Lois Naomi McDonald

Lois McDonald, 85, of Superior, WI passed away on September 13, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice.

She was born on November 27, 1936, and was a lifelong resident of Superior.

Lois retired in 2000 after 30 years in the workforce. She will be remembered by friends and family for her love of telling jokes, which made her the life of many parties.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, her parents Carl and Laura Strand, her sisters Claudia Anderson, Rebecca McGraw, Eunice Kosta, and two grandchildren Julie Allan and Amy Jodell.

She is survived by her daughters Tamara (Charles) Jodell, Daela (Richard) Mannelin, Lynn (Kenneth) Sundvick and sons Jerry and Steve McDonald, and her sister Rhoda Jones along with her grandchildren Jenny Jodell, Courtney (Melvin) Risley, Sara McDonald, Samantha and Savanna Sundvick, her great grandchildren Joshua Jodell, Lucian Allan, Ethan and Carter Smith, Karmyn Long, Adrik Ross, great great grandchildren Atlas and Arlo Allan, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave. in Duluth.
