Obituary of Barbara Gayle Ceryes
Barbara “Gayle” (LeDoux) Ceryes, age 78, of Duluth, MN passed away on September 11, 2022. After a long battle with COPD, The Lord welcomed Gayle with open arms, peacefully with family by her side.
Gayle was born on October 18, 1943, to Wilfred and Rose LeDoux. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1961 and was united in marriage on April 28, 1962, to Theodore “Ted” Robert Ceryes Jr. In elementary school Gayle would ride on the handlebars of Ted’s red bike and they grew old together through camping trips with family to Pine Acres Resort in Orr, MN. Gayle loved to fish, make chocolate chip cookies and fudge every Christmas. She loved making crafts, going to lunch and shopping at Savers.
Gayle was a natural care giver. She retired from Viewcrest Nursing Home after serving others for 42 years.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Ted; her children, Sherry (Jarred) Marek, Susan Ceryes, Theodore (Stacia) Ceryes III, and Michelle Paulson; brothers, Dave and Richard LeDoux; Best friend, Joan Steltz; grandchildren, Fahlym, Stephanie, David, Josh, Sarah, Ben, Jenny, Kayla, and Alex; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Owen, and Skyler; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Artie, Joe, and Jim LeDoux; and Angel Baby, Cindy Faye
Thursday, September 22nd a visitation will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 715 N. 57th Ave. W. Duluth, from 10am until 11am Mass and burial at Oneota Cemetery. Lunch to follow at St. James Church. In lieu of flowers please donate to Salvation Army or Savers in memory of Gayle. Thank you to St. Croix Hospice for your love and grace.
