Obituary of Catherine Denise Easler
Easler, Catherine Denise
Passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022. She was born in Minneapolis October 27, 1960 and resided in the Twin Cities for most of her life. She attained her MA in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and was an accomplished HR leader for 30+ years. Cathy loved her family, gardening, politics and cooking. She was devoted to family; a small group of treasured friends and her daughter Mary was the joy of her life. She had a deeply caring heart, a listening ear and offered solid practical advice to others. She was a woman of few words but those she spoke were insightful, down to earth and sometimes, with her razor-sharp wit and dry sense of humor, hilarious. Her eyes were the kindest we have ever known.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary and brother, Steven. She is survived by her wife, Trisha Falvey (They were married August 1, 2013 on the first day it was legal to do so); daughter, Mary; mother, Bernice; nephew, James; his wife Rachel and their children, Brooklynn and Raydon; niece, Alaira (Jordan); sister like friend, Roxi and many other friends and family who will need to learn to move forward without their rock.
Despite a life marked with hardship that most never knew, when asked to pray aloud her one prayer said was "Thank you." Thank you, Cathy, for sharing your life with us. Until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
