Obituary of Barbara Ann Carlson

Barbara Ann Carlson, 70, of Hermantown, MN, passed away at home on September 7, 2022 of Covid. Barbara was born in Duluth on June 14, 1952 to Robert and Theresa Carlson.

Barbara worked throughout her life at UDAC, Goodwill and Pinewood until her retirement in 2017.

Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends. Her special friend was Lloyd Goodman, her boyfriend and love of her life for 40 years. She enjoyed bowling, karaoke, music in the park, weight watchers, The Wizard of Oz, her many Minnie Mouses, coloring, Rock & Roll dancing, collecting pennies for Jerry Lewis’s Muscular Dystrophy kids, Diet Coke and Subway sandwiches.

We want to thank the many wonderful, caring staff at Trillium Services for the years of loving care. Thank you to Cindy the nurse for always being there. Thank you to Essentia Hospice Home Care nurse Jen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Danny.

She will be greatly missed by her sister Judy (John) Mehle; sister in law Lynette Carlson; boyfriend Lloyd Goodman; nephews Jamie (Karen) Mehle and Jesse (Leslie) Mehle; nieces Theresa (Jeremy) Caine and Susan (Bob) Terry; great nieces and nephews Nolan, Braden, Casey, William, Hannah and Sephrya.

Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 16th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., with a visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Reception to follow.

Memorials may be directed in memory of Barby to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
