Obituary of James L Culbertson

Age 75 of Cottage Grove passed away on September 4, 2022. Born July 13th, 1947, in International Falls, MN to William H. and Beverly (Blumer) Culbertson. Jim had a passion for hunting and gunsmithing but could usually be found in his workshop tinkering around listening to the “oldies.” After graduating from Carlton High School in 1965, he started a job in printing with the Carlton County Vidette. This was the start of a 40+ year career in printing. He retired from the St. Paul Pioneer Press in 2007.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his former wife Deb; daughter, Nicole (Sean); grandchildren, Devin and Elyssa; sister Charlene (Bernard) Bateson; brother, William J. Culbertson; niece Amanda (Jon) Matko; nephew, Zack (Sheena) Bateson and 4 great-nephews.  A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday September 18th, 2022, from 12:00-4:00pm, at the American Legion Post 98, 328 Broadway Ave. St. Paul Park, MN 55071
