Tom had the most wonderful smile and a twinkle in his eyes. He and Pat always made us feel welcome whenever we visited them. Tom was a dedicated, loving family man. Many of his projects centered around the home. He enjoyed simple pleasures, be it playing ladder ball in the backyard, maintaining his beloved VW Beetle, going to Louise's basketball games, cross country skiing in Hibbing, or going to the Minnesota State Fair. We could never find him at the fair, but he somehow never had any trouble finding us. As an early feminist, Tom always supported Pat in her career, moving first to Hibbing, then to New Ulm and finally to Farmington.. Tom was a true friend who always spoke his truth and lived by his values. We will both miss him and remember fondly the times we spent with him and Pat and Louise.
With much love and respect, rest now our friend. You made the world a better place.
