Obituary of Francis Paul Van Havermaet Sr

Francis Paul Van Havermaet Sr.

4-11-1932 to 8-6-2022 of Zimmerman, MN formerly of Sauk Centre, MN.  He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Susan Van Havermaet, brothers: Joe, Larry and Art, sisters: Mabel and Veronica and grandchildren, Brittney, Luke, Sarah and Jacob.  Survived by his loving wife Sonja (Witsoe) Van Havermaet of 66 years, children; Pete (Jacque), Paul (Michelle), Mark, Francis Jr.(Sue), Bruce, Julie (John) Goetzinger and Tracy (Todd) Schroedl. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters: Cecilia Bieringer, Regina Coan, nieces and nephews.

He was proud to serve our country during the Korean War. Was a long standing member of the IBEW Local 292, a captain for the Citizens Patrol on Camano Island, WA. He was a tremendously loving husband, father and grandfather and supportive to all. He was the best of the best!
